Titanfall 2 Reveals New Updates Coming This Spring

Titanfall 2

Titanfall 2‘s multiplayer mode is getting new additions in the upcoming months. Developer Respawn Entertainment has posted a new blog entry detailing their plans between April and June.

Players can expect two new Live Fire maps as well as two new general multiplayer maps. Additionally, a new Titan (whose profile remains classified as of now) and two purchasable Prime Titans, Ronin and Tone will be available over the coming months.

On top of this block of content, Respawn is also confirming more free updates on the horizon with smaller, quality-of-life improvements and features. These include increasing the gen cap to 100 and expanding the Private Match settings. The game will also see a new Faction, a new game mode, and more pilot executions.

Concrete details (and possibly release dates) for all of these will come as we approach each milestone. Stay tuned to Titanfall 2′s site if you want to know more. Respawn’s commitment to the future of the game is clear, as they will continue to support it with frequent updates, free trials, and more.

Titanfall 2: What a Sequel Should Be

Ever since its release in October 2016, Titanfall 2 has received near unanimous praise. It remains a clear example of how a sequel can surpass its predecessor by adding the community’s feedback to the formula. Titanfall 2 nailed some of the pain points that the first game had, adding a compelling single-player campaign (check Stephanie’s thoughts about it) and expanding on their multiplayer strengths.

With a current score of 89 on Metacritic, the game still stands strong. While Respawn has claimed that they are unsure about the future of the series, we can only hope that this world of Titans is far from being over.
