“Would you kindly” are three little words that send shivers down anyone’s spine if they knew the story of Bioshock. I had read previews of the game but it wasn’t until I played the demo that I decided to not play this game. I hated the demo and from that short little run, I didn’t want to have anything to do with this game. I’m not sure what made me dislike this game so, maybe I was just in a bad mood, but I had zero interest in buying this game.
It wasn’t until a fellow employee at GameStop told me that the game is much better than the demo and that I need to play it. I gave in and decided to give Bioshock another try.
Bioshock was released in 2007 for the XB360 and a year later for the PS3 and is set in the year 1960 where a man had a vision of the perfect city, Rapture. Of course nothing is perfect and as I started to play the game more and more, I started to love it. The feeling, the music, noise, the Big Daddy walking around, and the twist really made me enjoy this game. I am grateful that I gave this game another chance as no game can match the atmosphere of Rapture and the feeling of dread once you hear a Big Daddy heading your way.
