Perception, A Horror Game From Dead Space And BioShock Devs, Coming Soon

Boasting unique mechanics, a successful Kickstarter, and that impressive pedigree from the headline above, Perception is definitely on our radar.

Dead Space was a straight up scarefest, well the first two games anyway, and the BioShock series was creepy from the depths of Rapture straight up to the skies of Columbia. So having developers from two franchises that’ll give players nightmares is sure to result in a very creepy experience.

This is where The Deep End and Feardemic comes in. The Deep End, composed of former developers behind the aforementioned franchises, and teamed up with Feardemic to announce Perception; a new atmospheric horror adventure which is currently set for a PS4 release. The title was originally announced as a Kickstarter nearly two years ago, and raked in $168,041 in backer money on a $150,000 goal.

Feardemic, according to the announcement, is “a new publishing label focused on bringing players unique psychological horror games” based out of Krakow, Poland.

Here’s a brief overview of the synopsis as provided by Bill Gardner, The Deep End’s Creative Director:

[it] tells the story of Cassie, a blind heroine who uses her extraordinary hearing and razor-sharp wits to unravel the mysteries of an abandoned estate that haunts her dreams.

The heroine will have to use her set of extrasensory skills in order to overcome the mysterious force haunting her residence known only as The Presence.

My only question is at this point, when can I sign up?

You can also read the complete announcement over PlayStation’s blog.
