Two New Tales of Games Announced at TGS

Namco-Bandai has announced two new Tales of games at TGS this week. First there’s Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave for the PSP.  The site dubs it as an action game, possibly similar to the previous Tales of VS PSP fighting game. Seeing as how that game never released in the West, it’s doubtful this one will either. The promotional art makes it look like a Dynasty Warriors type of experience based on the amount of enemies. The art shows a figure resembling Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia and another figure that I cannot place fighting nearby as well.

Also this week at TGS, Namco announced Tales of Innocence R for the PS Vita. Tales of Innocence was released on the DS in Japan only in late 2007. The Vita version will likely be an HD rerelease of that version with bonus content.

Both of these new games are targeted for release sometime in 2012. There is a smidge of hope that one of these titles will make over here but I’m not holding my breath.

The latest entry in the Tales of series was Tales of Xillia which was released on September 8, 2011 in Japan. No word on that game getting brought over here either.

The Tales of the Abyss remake for the 3DS is being released stateside and in Europe at a yet to be announced time. One out of four isn’t bad (but it really is).
