SXSW 2014 | Check Out How FX is Promoting Guillermo Del Toro's, The Strain

Ah, who doesn’t love a bit of clever marketing? In an effort to promote upcoming show, The Strain, FX will be having The Strain Transformation Stations, which will bring “relief to fatigued South by Southwest attendees.”

These rejuvenation stations will allow attendees to partake in 20-minute power naps within the pods, while checking out clips and content from FX’s upcoming original series, The Strain. From March 7 – March 10, SXSW attendees can swing by the pods, conveniently located on Congress & 5th, and not only catch some shuteye but pickup branded energy shots, dubbed The Strain Vaccine, as well as pick up one of the novels or special edition comics.

Here’s more on The Strain:

The Strain is a high concept thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll), the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers, wage war for the fate of humanity itself.

Wondering where you’ve heard about The Strain before? Well it’s currently a comic series published by our friends at Dark Horse Comics.

SXSW attendees interested in swinging by these Transformation Stations should book an appointment at http://www.thestrainpods.com/.
