One of the companies we had the pleasure of meeting at this year’s SXSW was Green Throttle. Created by the co-founder of Guitar Hero, Green Throttle is determined to turn the average smartphone into powerful gaming consoles.
Based in Santa Clara, Green Throttle gaming brings to the table similar offerings as OUYA, both of which tackle the expensive console market with their own cheaper, and arguably more-accessible alternatives.
The idea is simple. You can take your games from your smartphone or tablet to your tv, paired with some Bluetooth Atlas Controllers.
They’ve partnered up with some Third-party developers, we’ve been told, though we don’t know much outside of our initial meeting at SXSW, but stay tuned as we will be bringing you more about Green Throttle games in the future!
