Nintendo just announced their newest system last week, officially named the Nintendo Switch, which will release in March of 2017. It’s already gathered plenty of buzz, particularly due to the third- party companies that have been backing the new console.
Along with Bethesda, Activision, and Capcom, another company has announced their involvement to be apart of Nintendo’s Switch.
Kou Shibusawa, General Producer at Koei Tecmo games, announced that the company will be bringing its Nobunaga’s Ambition strategy game series to Nintendo’s Switch, during a “Historical Simulation Game Day” live stream Thursday, October 27th.
The most recent addition in the series, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence-Ascension, was released in North America and Europe for PlayStation 4 and PC earlier this week. If you were curious the learn more about Ambitions’ newest addition to the series, such as how it plays and what the story encompasses, Steam is offering the game to be free to play this weekend. You can also purchase Nobunaga’s Ambition: Souzou SegokuRisshiden on Steam as well at a discounted 20% until November 1st.
Information on the price and official release date for the Switch will be announced January 12 during an event hosted by Nintendo. I imagine we’ll learn more about the Nobunaga’s Ambition around then as well.
Nintendo CEO Tatsumi Kimishima has hinted that there is more to come to the upcoming console. Kimishima had confirmed that what people saw wasn’t everything the system offers. This leads to an assumption that there will be a wider array of hardware, suggesting there is more to the Nintendo Switch then just the tablet-like multi-touch display unit and detachable controllers. We could see more accessories and other various add-ons.
