This is the one time my pun could actually work. As inFamous 2’s developer doesn’t look to sucker punch gamers playing the beta of the upcoming sequel to its successful original title.
Did that work?
Anyway, the developers posted this message on the game’s Twitter account;
“We’ve decided to extend the beta. Once PSN is back up we’ll determine by how long, but rest assured: your outcry has been heard.”
The beta is still playable; however you can’t upload or download any user-created content, or access the private beta forums.
Additionally, Sucker Punch has also decided to halt any beta code giveaways until PSN resumes service. With the following from their official site;
“Handing out beta codes that you can’t redeem is decidedly cruel and unusual – that said, during this time of maintenance, we will suspend all code giveaways and contests,”
“As soon as PSN is back up and running, though, you can expect to see our contests and giveaways populating our usual outlets. As usual, stay tuned to our Twitter feed, and we’ll let you know as soon as the servers come back online.”
inFamous 2 should be due out June 10th for PS3.
