Stikbold is bringing it’s brand of adventure, and dodgeball, to PlayStation 4 today, and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a trailer.
Curve Digital has another game with an outside-the-box concept for the world to see, this time coming in the form of Swedish dodgeballing adventures. Game Swing seems to have infused the twin-stick nature of main characters Bjorn and Jerome with bright colors and blocked models, not to mention a sense of humor. The circular arenas in which you launches your padded orbs seem to offer a lot of freedom for stage hazards (apparently Moby Dick likes dodgeball?)as well as an energetic area local and online 4-player action. There’s also a single-player mode accompanied by some goofy scenarios and entertaining jokes, including the devil. Dodgeball has gone religious.
Anyways, Stikbold has already been out on Steam for about four days and has received “Mostly Positive” reviews in that time, and this is after climbing out from the depths of Steam Greenlight. That should instill some confidence in the awaiting console crowds on PlayStation 4 – it’s available as of today – and Xbox One – April 8th for you. Check out the trailer above to see how dodgeball is played by professionals not named Average Joes or Purple Cobras.
