Steam and Portal 2 Coming to Ps3

Two things that I thought wouldn’t happen, and neither did Gabe Newell: Portal and Steam on PsN. I guess having Steam on PsN was the only way he’ll allow Portal 2 on Ps3. Either way, I’m happy that the rumors about Portal 2 being false are not true. I also doubt that it will be a Ps3 exclusive since Portal is one of those games that’s best suited for the PC. However, Gabe did mention that playing it on the Ps3 will give you the best experience. i have to wonder if he really thinks that or he’s just trying to earn Brownie Points from Sony.

It will be interesting to see how Steam will work on the Ps3. If you already have an account, will you be able to simply log in and then download all of the games that you’ve bought thus far? Maybe this is the reason for their newer Ps3 model with the larger hard drive.

You’ll be able to see both on Ps3 sometime in Spring of 2011.
