Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is slated for November but this does not mean hardcore fans cannot have a sneak peek of their own a tad before. Electronic Arts has confirmed via the PlayStation Blog that the game is getting a public beta, from October 6 to 9.
Battlefront 2 is arriving on November 17 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. If you want you can already pre-order it, as this will give you early access to the beta (on October 4), as well as granting you different content bonuses later on.
Battlefront 2′s Beta – What We Know So Far
While EA has not delved too much into details, we also got a small glimpse of what to expect on this beta. First, players will be able to get into the “Galactic Assault on Naboo”, a massive multiplayer environment pairing up to 40 players on the streets of Theed. We can either team up with the Separatist droid army or the Republic Clones and we’ll have the following trooper classes to choose from: assault, heavy, officers and specialists.
On a much mysterious note comes the so called “Starfighter Assault”. If Naboo’s map puts us in prequel-era times, this one brings an epic battle set during the original trilogy era. We are told this is an “objective-based, multi-stage battle”. By the looks of it, this assault will showcase what Battlefront 2 is capable of when it comes to flying vehicles and gravity zero madness.
More details about the beta, and probably the game overall, will come with Gamescom 2017 (August 23-26). Clear up your timetables and save the date for the month of October. Here, in The Game Fanatics, we’ll surely be covering all upcoming Battlefront 2 news for you.
