Splinter Cell Blacklist Wii U Trailer

A new Wii U trailer has been released for the latest addition in Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell line of games, Splinter Cell: Blacklist.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist, direct sequel to Splinter Cell: Conviction, is the newest addition in the Splinter Cell franchise. In Blacklist players fill in the shoes of a lethal operative named Sam Fisher. Sam’s mission is to hunt down and eliminate the masterminds behind The Blacklist– a series of attacks on persons of interest in the US. The masterminds must be stopped before the attack escalate even more.

Splinter Cell: Blacklist incorporates core elements of the franchise with new, technical innovations like the new gameplay mechanic called Killing in Motion, which allows players to highlight targets and take them out quickly while on the run. In the Wii U version, the gamepad touch screen can be used to access gadgets from Sam’s arm-mounted computer, called the OPSAT. Another Wii U feature is the ability to use screen and motion controls to highlight enemies through thermal vision with the Killing in Motion feature.

Single player, multi-player and co-op multiplayer are all tied together in a universal economy in Blacklist,  so that a variety of play styles are supported. The spies vs. mercs competitive mode from prior games will also be making a return in Blacklist.

The Wii U GamePad Advantage trailer can be viewed here.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist will be released on August 20, 2013.
