Sony UK Believes GT5 Will Help Christmas Sales Of PS3 Despite Delays

David Wilson, Sony’s head of UK PR says that GT 5 will give the PS3 a boost in sales over the holiday season despite the many delays the game has received.

Wilson spoke to MCV and had this to say; “2010 has been one of the strongest years in recent memory for quality game releases, and we have culminated the year with the launch of Gran Turismo 5,” he said.

“GT5 has been in the making for five years and we believe that it will serve as a true driver of new console purchases. We know it has been a long wait, but we genuinely believe that fans of Gran Turismo will not be disappointed.

“We are confident that Gran Turismo 5 will do great business between launch and Christmas, with five years of development behind it, Gran Turismo 5 will be on top of many gamers’ wish lists.”
Gran Turismo 5 was released last Wednesday worldwide

Thanks guys! (MCV)
