With all the focus taken from the line of games being released by Sony in the coming months, Sony can only blame themselves for this turn of events.
And of the course the “Hackers” that caused this mess in the first place.
But that hasn’t stopped the US Congress from making an appointment with the heads of Sony, wanting answers to the many questions that consumers are not getting. Representative Mary Bono Mack (R-CA), from the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade has sent a letter, requesting a reply by May 6th, 2011.
This usually happens when a large company screws up big time and gets in trouble with the representatives of the US people.
The Congress subcommittee has addressed the letter directly to Sony Executive Deputy President Kazuo Hirai, and asked a number of questions; including whether or not Sony has any idea of the attacker’s identity. It also queries exactly when the intrusion occurred, and when Sony decided to bring in law enforcement officials.
Sony has been slow to release news but with recent events have had to publicly come out and admit to the many “Intrusions” and “Hacks” to its security and server systems.
