Sony: PS3 games better rated than 360’s

Sony has taken to the stage in Germany at Gamescom 2010 with the attitude that they are a force to be reckoned. Not only has the company acquired one of its main competitors best exclusives in Mass Effect 2 today, but it is also revealing that its lineup is higher rated on average than Microsoft’s.

According to Sony, its games average an impressive 80% on MetaCritic.com. For those of you not in the know, MetaCritic.com is a website that gathers reviews for games across the net and gives them a weighted average. They’ve quickly become the #1 site to check for average review scores or just a place to find a lot of reviews in one spot.

On the flip side, Sony revealed that Microsoft’s titles have an average review score of 77%. The differential being that huge 3% between them. While it seems like a small gap, 3% is a pretty big difference when you consider the amount of games in question.

This is just further proof that Sony continues to deliver a superior lineup of games to its consumers unlike any other console on the market.
