Almost as if they had predicted user complaints about the announced 3-5 hour battery life of the PSV, today Sony announced an external accessory to solve the issue.
The External battery holds 5000mAh of charge, more than double the internal battery of the handheld. In theory this could mean between 9-15 hours of play time. Taking up a reasonable 70x67x22mm and only weighing 145g it’s hardly cumbersome. The question still looms though, why wasn’t this the internal battery?
As of yet the battery has no price tag and is slated for release in spring of 2012.
