Back at PAX Prime, I got the chance to sit down with the incredible Ralph Ineson, who you may know from The Office (UK) or IT Crowd.Ineson voices Charles Vane, the main protagonist in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Charles Vane was an actual pirate in the early 1700’s who terrorized the Bahamas. I talked with him about playing such an iconic character, a question which he responds to in detail if you watch the video. Admittedly I was actually taken aback by the booming voice that he spoke with.
Ralph is actually no stranger to acting, but this was his first video game gig, so to speak, so we talked about the differences between this role and every other role he’d played before. He also talks about his experience at PAX, which was a bit funny.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag releases on October 29th on PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. PS4 and Xbox One versions will be launching with the console.
