Siri Hacked To Fully Run On The iPhone 4 And iPod Touch

One of the top reasons that people upgraded to the iPhone 4s was not because of its dual core processor, but because of its fancy personal assistant Siri. Owners of last generations iPhone cried foul at the thought of not getting thier hands on Siri, and many developers worked sleepless night trying to port her over to the device. It did work except for the fact that it couldn’t connect to Apple’s servers and had to resort to using alternatives such as Google or TellMe to get the job done. Those problems have been seemingly solved thanks to a little maneuvering by developer Steven Troughton-Smith. He managed to get the hacked version of Siri communicating with Apple’s servers, the way the original app was supposed to.

In addition to gettin Siri to work on the iPhone 4, Troughton-Smith went one step further to make sure that apples new personal assistant would work on the iPod Touch something he was successful in doing. If you own either of these devices you’re probably wondering how you can get you hands on the port, well there’s some bad news. Steven will not be releasing this hacked version of Siri to the public he was only interested in making it work. The app also requires files and a validation token from the iPhone 4S which will probably get the developers in trouble if they distributed it as well.
