Sinestro, Hawkgirl Join Injustice: Gods Among Us

WB Games has unveiled two new additions to the roster for Injustice: Gods Among Us in this week’s latest Battle Arena segment. It looks like Green Lantern‘s arch-nemesis, and Hawkman‘s soul mate, are joining the cast of Injustice: Gods Among Us, the DC Comics fighting game being developed by Netherrealm Studios. In this week’s Battle Arena, which asks fans to vote online for their favorite in hero vs. hero, hero vs. villain, and villain vs. villain battles, Sinestro gets to face off against Superman, while Green Arrow goes one-on-one with Hawkgirl.

For voting in the Battle Arena and then sharing your vote on Facebook and Twitter, you’ll be entered into drawings for weekly prizes, as well as a grand prize that includes an arcade stick and collector’s edition of the game, which comes out April 16th for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.

Netherrealm is looking to shake up things in the DC Universe with their own unique story: the Joker has wiped out all of Metropolis, causing Superman to do the unthinkable and cross a line nobody expected him to. Now, five years later, the Justice League controls the world, while Batman leads a small resistance group to stop his former teammates.
