Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn Update!

Indiegogo, who are the project leaders of Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn, have just announced that if the $450,000 target is met, the game will be made available on all current and last-gen consoles. Early last month, we reported on the announcement that Shaquille O’Neal was interested in reviving the Shaq Fu franchise with a new game: ‘Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn’. He’s also enlisting the public’s help with raising the funds necessary to bring the game to life.

It was previously unknown which console Indiegogo would release the new Shaq Fu on and they’ve finally announced that if the $450,000 target is met, they will be bringing the game to Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U and PC.

Here is the game announcement trailer:

Prior to April 10th, the reward for donations were as follows:

  • $500 and Mr O’Neal will follow you on Instagram.
  • $600 and he’ll follow you on Twitter.
  • $750 and he’ll send you a personalized video message.
  • $15,000 and you get to play ball with the man at his house.
  • $25,000 and you’ll dine with him in Atlanta with 6 of your friends.
  • $35,000, where you get to take two of your best buds to TNT Studios, have a meet and greet with people and then sit down for lunch with the man himself.
Now, in addition to those rewards, if you donate $20, you’re guaranteed an entry into the international tournament, which will take place in Los Angeles. If you win, you’ll face off against Shaq and take the prize of $25,000. If you donate $35,000 to the cause, Shaq will DJ at an event in the United States that you may have, such as a birthday party or Bar Mitzvah. These prizes will only happen if the target of $450,000 is met.
If the goal is not met, anybody who contributed to the cause can request to have their money refunded. But, of course, we want this game to go ahead, right? You can donate here, but hurry, there’s just over 20 days left to contribute!
