CES 2012: Sennheiser PC 320 – The Headset That Adjusts To Your Head

Many PC gamers will have experienced that uncomfortable ear ache you get from wearing a poor quality headset for a few hours. Others with an odd-shaped head have probably experienced general difficulty in just getting a headset to fit. Well fear no more you ear damaged or unfortunate head shaped gamers, the Sennhesier PC 320 is here.

Sennheiser teamed up with the World Champion Counterstrike team mTw to create this headset, reaching new heights of comfort and sound experience for PC gamers. The design of the headset even means that air flows to your ears, and heat can escape. So even with the super stressful BF3 firefights that leave you sweating with excitement, your ears at least will be nice and cool. Andre “nooky” Utesch from e-sport team mTw says,

“It gets pretty intense in the heat of the game. Having a headset which helps keep my ears and head cool makes a big difference. It helps me win”

A lot of research has gone into this headset. The extra comfort and performance is a combination of ‘ergonomics, use of softer materials and new technology’. You can control the volume by simply touching the ear cup, which is great because according to Christian Ern, Product Manager at Sennheiser Communications,

“It is natural human behavior to move our hands up to our ears when we need to hear better. Therefore the ear cup is a natural location for the most vital sound controls”

The PC 320 is part of Sennheiser’s Gaming Series, and features a noise-cancelling microphone which can be muted by just pushing it up. As with all the Gaming Series headsets, this one too promises sound detailed enough to be able to clearly hear the footsteps of other players in games – something that all fps loving PC gamers can appreciate.
