At SDCC this weekend Warner Bros. shared a new Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham trailer with us. It shows the game well, demonstrating both the same art style and sense of humor that we’ve all come to know and love from the Lego games.
Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham follows the story of Batman as he teams up with numerous other DC Heroes as you build your way through the game. It is still very much a platformer and follows in the footsteps of previous games in both the Lego Batman series and more generally, the Lego series as a whole. Most of the footage is from cutscenes but they appear to be fairly representative of the final game, at least from what we can see and prior history. Whether the handheld versions will be equivalent to the console versions remains to be seen, particularly the Vita, but if the past is anything to go by, they may be altered versions of the game.
Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham launches on PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, 3DS, and PC later this year. Will you be picking it up? If so, which platform will you be buying it for? You certainly have enough choices.
