We are placing in a really large high quality 7.1 Encompass audio in our household room. We need to have 4 Encompass speakers and I was looking to set up 4 Polk Audio Watch 40 Speakers:

But now we are finding that these could be slightly much too huge for our basement as the celings are a lot less than 8 feet. Folks might conclude up running into them 🙂

I’m pondering what else may possibly I be ready to use for a really large quality surround audio that is a little bit smaller. Won’t automatically have to be Polk. But some thing smaller. These ‘Monitor 40″ speakers are about 16 inches tall. I dread they’re a bit also large to be hanging in the middle of the room.

    Thanks all!
The explanation they will be hanging from the Ceiling is since the space is massive, and there is not location for them to be on stands. On best of that, the TV is in the corner of the room, over the fireplace. So we are positioning the speakers in accordance to the TV.

Will a gaming headset that has 7.1 surround sound in them work on any pc to play game titles and provide the surround sound quality? Im utilizing a laptop, with an built-in sound card, (idk if audio cards even make any difference for headphones to give the surround sound)

I asked this issue earlier, and acquired an solution that acquired me thinking, he said that I ‘cannot’ receive 7.1 surround sound from a headphone jack, except these headphones plug in by way of USB.

And I also saw a submit saying that I would only get virtual surround sound, not real surround sound? what does that particular person mean?

    Heres the headphone url;…

I Am curious if I ought to just operate substantial high quality speaker wire? or also RCA and other form of connects for foreseeable future upgraded speakers. If anybody has any advice that would be great. Thanks!

Never heard of this brand prior to but it would seem to sound good. Any other info on this program would be tremendously appreciated also.

Its a Divinci D-50 7.1 channel encompass audio system.

I Am arranging to get a skull candy headphone. I discovered the headphones often say “Stereo Headphone” or “DJ Headphone”. What’s the distinction amongst the two?

  • stealspartansbcglobalnet

This isn’t a question I’m just stating something. You really need to be careful with headphones, especially when not hearing things, or not hearing things well, could result in very serious injuries or death. Also especially when you’re playing you’re music too loud or you have the headphones that make it so that you don’t hear things outside. Today I was walking on the side of the street and I was listening to my i pod with skull candy headphones, I had both in and my music wasn’t even loud. Well, a car was going down the street behind me and I didn’t even hear a thing. My left foot went in the street and the car skimmed my shoe. It might not seem scary but I was about to go a little in the street. Honestly, if it was a second later I would of been hit. So just be careful with headphones, as weird as it might sound.

So today, I started having a problem on my laptop. Whenever my headphones are plugged in the sound of typing from the right side of the keyboard go to the headphones. So if I press the backspace not only will I hear the sound of the keyboard as I normally would, but through the headphones also. Also, when if I tap on the little space between the jack and the keyboard I hear the tapping sound through the headphones. I’ve tried different headphones and it still does this. I even tried the audio troubleshooting and it is still the same. Please help me!

I have gone thru two sets of headphones in the last year and had the same problem with my mp3 player, the headphones fall out of my ear. They are fine for lifting weights, but the second I start running and my body moves, the headphones loosen up and begin to fall out of my ear. Are there any runners or people who have headphones that dont have this problem? Let me know the make and model, ect if you can. Thanks in advance.

Which of the above should I buy? I have Turtle Beach X11’s in which I could add the Sound Processor to increase sound quality.
-The sound processor is $72.58 off of
-I can sell my X11’s on Amazon for about $50.00
-The DX11’s are $129.99 off of
Nothin’ big, just want some thoughts and/or opinions.

I have just purchased a Denon Home theatre receiver which supports 7.1 surround sound. I am using a Bose center channel speaker, two Bose corner “cubes” as my front speakers, and a Bose sub-woofer. The center channel is wired directly to my Denon A/V receiver. However, front “cube” speakers are wired directly to the Bose Sub-Woofer, which splits the inputs to the sub, and the cubes. The inputs to the sub woofer are connected to my “front speakers” outputs on the Denon A/V.

My question is the following. Would I be better off wiring my Bose cubes directly to the Denon A/V receiver “front speaker” outputs, and connecting the sub-woofer to the sub-woofer output on the Denon, OR still using the Bose internal splitting out to the cubes?

  • Smashing Pumpkins

I have an Onkyo SR705 receiver that gives me a number of choices on listening modes. I am lookinf for the highest quality listening mode for my 7.1 system.

  • crzyinluv

    Read everything:
I know that you get just more detail, because you need more speakers (7 and a sub which is the LFE channel) therefore you get 360 sound.

The thing is that we only have 5.1 hardware, equipment, or however you want to call it. We only have 5 speakers plus the subwoofer. My dad says that although we only have 5 speakers, the home theater and the movie release and give a “more clear and crisp sound quality” when it is in 7.1 mode. How is that even possible? I even told him that he is losing some detail due to the 2 extra channels that we DON’T hear because we simply don’t have the speakers. He says that the home theater automatically sets up the speakers to work in 7.1 mode so you get the better sound. I know that, but we don’t have the hardware for it!!!! Am I right? Is he? Please give me an advice… And explain in simple words so he can read it by himself and understand it (our first language is not English)

Btw: he gave me an examlple, in other terms. He told me: “you see the difference between DVD and blu-ray in the same tv? well, it’s the same with 5.1 and 7.1… it is about the home theater system (not the speakers, just the console, the main thing that controls everything. I don’t know the name of it.) the speakers don’t matter. If it is 7.1 it sounds better, just like blu ray looks better” what!!!???? There is no point of comparison, one is video and the other one is audio!

    So, who is right?
I feel frustrated because I don’t know how to explain it to him, guys, haha.
Excuse me if I made a grammar mistake, but as I said English is not my first language. 🙂

  • Squall Leonhart

I just ordered a new computer that has a Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio? What does that mean and what speakers would go good with it that doesnt cost too much?

  • Chester

This applies to 5.1 or any other surround sound technology, will I still get the same experience without a soundcard?
The other way around too? No 7.1 technology but 7.1 Soundcard is available.
