Rumor: Dragon Age 3 for Next Gen Systems

Back in August someone leaked the possible logo and some concept art for Dragon Age 3. It wasn’t a surprise to find out that Bioware is currently working on a new Dragon Age game but the target date is still a mystery.

IGN reported that Tao Gu, level designer at EA Shanghai, mentioned on his LinkedIN profile (which has now been deleted), that Dragon Age 3 has been pushed to the next generation of systems. Reasoning being, is that Dragon Age 3‘s “scope” has changed and it will now be targeted for the next generation.

If this news is true, this means that developers are taking their time with Dragon Age 3, making sure to please their fans. Dragon Age 2 was met with mixed reviews, with many saying that it was rushed out too fast. EA and Bioware are hopefully planning on making Dragon Age 3 the best one yet, which could end up being a launch title for the Ps4 and the new Xbox system. Both next generation systems still have no date, but many are predicting either the fall of 2013 or spring of 2014, or both.

Dragon Age 3 took the subtitled name of Inquisition in September of this year via an open letter from Dragon Age‘s executive producer Mark Darrah. It is still unclear if Dragon Age 3 will be for Ps3 and XB360 or for the next generation, however either way, Dragon Age fans will be eagerly waiting.
