Rogue One DLC Coming To Star Wars Battlefront

The fourth and final DLC expansion for Star Wars Battlefront is focused around Rogue One, an in-between story of how rebels secured plans for the Empire’s infamous Death Star.

The Star Wars Celebration began yesterday and will continue until tomorrow evening at the Excel London Exhibation Centre. This weekend will contain tons of Star Wars details for future projects in regards to films, TV shows, novels and of course, video games. As such, the final DLC for Star Wars Battlefront was announced today and will be focused around Rogue One.

Set to arrive this holiday season, the Rogue One DLC takes players to the tropical planet of Scarif, which is one of the locations visible throughout Rogue One’s trailers. As is the standard for announcing these additions, the new playable hero and villain was also made known today.

Jyn Erso and director Orson Krennic are the said hero and villain players can use once the DLC launches. In the film, Jyn Erso is played by the actress Felicity Jones and Ben Mendelsohn portrays Director Orson Krennic.

Unfortunately, no other information has been given at this time for the Rogue One DLC.

However, it was also revealed at Star Wars Celebration that Chewbacca and Bossk would be the new playable hero and villain for the Death Star DLC. Teased through a trailer, EA gave players a small glimpse into what is in store for those who download the Death Star DLC.

By the end of this year, content should be start wrapping up for Star Wars Battlefront. The question remains: will Battlefront’s season pass go on sale to commemorate Star Wars Celebration?
