ROCCAT Unveils New Isku FX Gaming Keyboard

ROCCAT, the manufacturer of competition peripherals out Hamburg, Germany, has just unveiled their latest: The Isku FX – Multicolor Gaming Keyboard.  Priced at $99.99 and 99.99€, the ROCCAT seems to be a competitive pricepoint for the features.  Check them all out after the cut!

Almost a standard for gaming peripherals these days, the Isku FX features backlit keys in an impressive 16.8M possible color choices.  ROCCAT wasn’t content to stop there with the color capabilities though, and has integrated ROCCAT Talk FX into the keyboard which adjusts the lights of the keys based on the on-screen action along with your ROCCAT mouse if you have one.  So far, this feature seems to only function with World of Tanks, but if the titles that are supported can be expanded quickly enough, it might be a really interesting feature.  Unless the only game you play is World of Tanks already. Then I guess it’s perfect for you.

As mentioned before, the ROCCAT Isku FX keyboard can communicate with other ROCCAT mice, but this also works for more than just switching color schemes.  ROCCAT mentions Easy-Aim technology, which is meant “when your game demands precise marksmanship in sniper mode.”  By simply pressing and holding a key on the keyboard, the mouse enters the Easy-Aim mode and will optimize the DPI setting of your mouse.

Of course the Isku FX has all the features you’d expect from a gaming keyboard including the ability to create macros on the fly, numerous profiles, media hotkeys, a sidebar of macro buttons, the ability to have multicolor illumination, a wrist pad, and thumbster keys.  Personally, I’d love to see a mechanical version, but the pricepoint would surely rise, and depending on how it functions, this could be a terrific buy at a terrific price.

Tell us, do you stick with your stock keyboard that comes with your machine or do you ensure that you always have the proper gear? Leave a comment below!
