Robert Kirkman's Thief of Thieves Picked Up for Fourth Printing

Creator of the post-apocalyptic graphic novel and AMC addiction The Walking Dead’s Robert Kirkman is leaving yet another legion of fans hungry for more, this time with cinematic crime comic Thief of Thieves.

The series has become one of the best-selling indie releases of the year, with only four issues having been published, which are now entering its third and fourth printings to boot.

Thief of Thieves follows the story of a master thief called “Redmond”, who endures a man vs. man conflict of his criminal history and embodying his true identity of Conrad Paulson. The reality that Paulson has surely escaped his pilfering past teeters along the plotline as he struggles with an estranged wife and son who is destined to pave an inherited MO of misconduct.

Issue #1 of the Image Comics/Skybound series saw its third printing merely two weeks ago, while issues #2 and #3 met a third printing last Wednesday. Issue #4 reprinted the same day, and the momentum continues with the most current printings on June 13. Readers who don’t want to get caught empty handed without their red-handed Redmond can now pre-order #4 from their local comic store.

Thief of Thieves is nowhere close to surrendering, and will be rolling out its fifth issue to shelves on June 6.  Previews of every new issue can be found on The Hollywood Reporter  on the Friday before its debut.

With Morning Glories writer Nick Spencer penning the scripts and design by DC Comics artist Shawn Martinbrough, AMC has considered Thief of Thieves as a series with Kirkman and Showtime hit Dexter’s Chic Eglee spearheading as Creators/Executive Producers/Writers.
