Comedian Rob Riggle from such popular movies as Hangover, 21 Jump Street, and The Other Guys has been cast as the Frank West in the upcoming film Dead Rising: Watchtower. While this may seem like an odd choice considering he’s known to play mostly funny rolls, the Dead Rising series has never been one to take itself too seriously. No matter how you look at it he defiantly has the look to play Capcom’s favorite zombie slaying reporter.
There still is very little information outside of the cast known about Dead Rising: Watchtower. What we know of the story far is a very simple synopsis involving a zombie outbreak, and a mandatory government vaccine that fails to stop the infection from spreading. This should all sound very familiar if you have played any of the games in the Dead Rising series.
While there is currently no release date for Dead Rising: Watchtower it will debut exclusively on the Crackle digital video network.
