Resident Evil Revelations Will Be at PAX East

The console version of Resident Evil Revelations will have a new game type called Raid Mode that will be playable at this year’s PAX EastRaid Mode features newcomer Rachel that was introduced in the 3DS version of Revelations, and a new character called Hunk. Both characters will be available to PAX East attendees this weekend at the Capcom booth #948.

The console version of Resident Evil Revelations will introduce two new enemy types, The Wall Blister, and a surprise new enemy that players can unlock once they reach a certain level in Raid Mode.

Although Resident Evil Revelations is making its way towards all current-gen consoles, the Wii U version looks like it will be the most diverse, given the different control types available. Players can make use of the Wii U GamePad in conjunction with their TV sets to manage resources on the fly without having the leave the game, much like ZombiU. Options to use the Wii U Pro Controller, or off-screen play with the Wii U GamePad are also available.

On top of all of that, the Wii U version will make use of Miiverse and will allow players to post Game Over screens for players around the world to see, as well as other features like Creatures Voice that will let players post their thoughts on an enemy type in Raid Mode.

Resident Evil Revelations will support ResidentEvil.net with online events and in-game connectivity planned for after the game launches. The web portal will also give players access to exclusive dioramas of the game’s characters and enemies that can be collected, and it will let players earn custom parts and weapons for use in Raid Mode and items for Campaign Mode.

Resident Evil Revelations will be playable at this year’s PAX at the Capcom booth #948 for those lucky enough to attend, but will be releasing for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, and PC in North American on May 21st, and Europe on May 24th.
