Halo: Reach was the last game in the Halo universe to be developed by original creator Bungie before they parted ways with Microsoft to focus on the recently released Destiny. This, their fifth installment in the franchise focused on the exploits of Noble Six, a squad of enhanced soldiers known as Spartans defending Earth’s sister planet Reach from an alien invasion.
Originally released in 2010, Halo: Reach was lauded by critics and gamers alike (currently sat a comfortable 91 on Metacritic). The game also introduced new perks into it’s slightly revamped multiplayer including the jetpack which is first used during the campaign experience.
For you die-hard achievement hunters the base game will offer a potential 1000g to earn with an additional 700g if you purchase the 3 map packs; Noble, Defiant and Anniversary, which are also currently discounted. It was the first game in the series to include an achievement for completing the game solo on it’s highest difficulty – Legendary.
