Earlier we reported that GT 5 would get a few updates later this month, well the first of the two have been given the green light and has been available since last night.
The update was promised by Polyphony boss Kazunori Yamauchi last week.
The update will include mechanical damage, just as Yamauchi said, and features the option of including either none, light or heavy damage.
Update itself will be near 150Mb to download.
The next patch, which will include the ability to back-up save games, will come at some point during the month.
GT 5 is out now everywhere.
