Destiny will be offline today, Tuesday October 7, while Bungie updates and improves Destiny’s connectivity issues.
Originally published on their website, Bungie revealed that the updates “… will improve the technology that enables players to connect to Destiny.” This is to counteract poor… “stability for some users who have encountered issues connecting to servers.” Although I haven’t experienced any connectivity issues, it has been an ongoing problem that many fans have complained about.
In addition to the stability corrections, Bungie’s Destiny update will better track player disconnections. This will allow the developer to remedy the problem more efficiently. While some minor adjustments are being made to allow quick scoping with certain weapons, fix minor security issues and fixes to Centipede errors experienced by several player characters.
The update began at 7am Pacific Time, during which Destiny will not be playable.
