Sony has just announced that the PlayStation Vita, the newest Sony handheld, will be arriving to North American and European shores on February 22nd; Japan will get their hands on the handheld this November.
Sony touts a lineup of some 100 games currently in development, highlighted by titles in the Uncharted, WipEout, Resistance, and Call of Duty franchises. Should you decide to not pick up any games at the Vita’s launch, you can still use various apps, including Facebook, Skype, and Twitter. If Angry Birds isn’t on there, hell will be raised.
You can pick up the PlayStation Vita for either $249 or $299. The extra fifty bucks will include a 3G data connection…with AT&T.
