PlayStation Plus Vote to Play Begins This Thursday

Starting this Thursday, the first PlayStation Plus Vote to Play begins, and we now know what titles are in the running.

Players will be given the choice between three games, and the one with the most votes will be grouped with the rest of the free titles in September. If you are interested in either of the losing titles though, do not fret, as a discount will be applied to them regardless.

The first of the potential titles is Armello, a board game style title with a grim fairy-tale theme. Players will struggle to obtain the throne of Armello against their friends, scheming and battling their way to the top in a strategic experience that meshes, card, tabletop, and role playing mechanics together. If traditional tabletop gaming is your cup of tea, Armello may very well be your choice for PlayStation Plus Vote to Play.

Grow Home 2

PlayStation Plus Vote to Play starts soon

Following behind Armello is Grow Home. As well as being in the running for Vote to Play, this also counts as an announcement to Grow Home’s console debut. Developer Ubisoft Reflections describes Grow Home as a procedurally animated, vertical platformer, in which you play a little robot known as BUD (which stands for Botanical. Utility. Droid.). BUD has the ability to grow plants, and he is tasked with bringing the Star Plant to his planet, which will then bring fresh oxygen to his dying world.

The final title in the lineup is the co-op brawler Zombie Vikings. As the name very clearly states, you play as a band of reanimated vikings. Created by the team behind Stick it to the Man, Zombie Vikings has been described as a “story brawler” that has you tracking down the God of Mischief, Loki- who has stolen Odin’s remaining eye. Created with couch co-op in mind, players who enjoy gaming with their buddies may very well have this as their front runner for this batch of PlayStation Plus Vote to Play.
