What We Played for Week Ending March 4

This is a weekly segment where we share what games we are currently playing for our readers to get to know us a bit better. Said games can range from retro to current and from casual to FPS games. If we’re playing it, we’ll share it. Please feel free to comment with what you’re playing or your opinions on the games that we’re involved with.

DaJuan: Well I decided a change was necessary so I sold my 360 and DSi. With that money I was able to buy a PS3 and a PS Vita. I also bought a couple of games for each platform, and that is what I have been playing. On the PS3 I have been playing Gotham City Imposters and Dead Island. For the PS Vita I have been playing Ultimate Marvel VS Capcom 3 and Mod Nation Racers: Road Trip. I have also been able to sprinkle in sometime with SWTOR.

Jake: Literally just finished Mass Effect 1, about to start Mass Effect 2. Been playing the new hero in HoN and absolutely loving throwing creeps and trees at people.

William: League of Legends is my go-to time waster of the moment until I find another solid game to go through. The new carry can get pretty damn strong, but I don’t know how I feel about carries with built in sustain early game. When I’m not doing that, Beyond Good and Evil is still being played through. I’ve also been utilizing this new App Game called Hero Academy. It’s the first well done tactical game that I’ve played on a mobile device and I kinda like it.

Jason: Working my way through all the DLC for Mass Effect 2 I hadn’t already played. Still jumping into Star Wars: The Old Republic for PVP fun here and there as well. Oh and I just got an Xperia Play so been playing a lot of Dugenon Defenders Second Wave while waiting on those PvP queues in Star Wars.

Angela: I’ve been leveling my mage in World of Warcraft.

Brittany: Modern Warfare 3 as usual. Hitting up my Wii for some Skyward Sword and Harvest Moon later this weekend.

Jeff: I’ve been going through the PS2 port of Half-Life, with a little Portal intermission. I’m hoping I can get around to replaying Half-Life 2 soon, but I still have a ways to go before I can leave Black Mesa.

Jen: Finished up Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Edition at the start of the week. That last mission drove me a tad nuts at four in the morning. Unsure what to play before the launch of Mass Effect 3, I turned to Twitter. The majority of votes went to Saints Row the Third. I’ve already beaten it but I had started a new character (this one male) a while back so it was nice to return to Steelport. I started to work on achievements for the game and play it opposite than my female character did.

Greg: I finished Mass Effect 2‘s DLC on Tuesday. Since then, I’ve been playing Amalur, checking out different builds. And the more I play the game, the more fun I have with it. I know it’s a fairly standard RPG, (I gave it a 4/5), but it’s really really fun. Counting down until Tuesday, like most people. Also starting to look into Avengers VS X-Men which starts at the end of this month.

John: I’ve been finishing up Mass Effect 2 and it’s DLC, creating a new FemShep for Mass Effect 3. I’ve also been playing a little bit of Deus Ex: Human Revolution on my 360. I’ve owned it on PC since it’s release, and it’s one of my favorite games. Since I won’t be getting my PC back for another few weeks, I decided to grab it for the XBox and see how it compares to the PC version.
