This is a weekly segment where we share what games we are currently playing for our readers to get to know us a bit better. Said games can range from retro to current and from casual to FPS games. If we’re playing it, we’ll share it. Please feel free to comment with what you’re playing or your opinions on the games that we’re involved with.
Jason: Most of my time has been spent, once again, in Star Wars: The Old Republic. I’ve been grinding away PvP commendations so that I can enjoy the endgame PvP when I hit 50 (yeah, I took a break and hadn’t finished leveling). Also got back into Halo Reach, I had forgotten how insanely fun Firefight mode can be.
Jen: Working my way through Mass Effect 3 on insanity. I’m on my way to the end game and I hope I can finish it before going back to work on Sunday (which didn’t happen). Not has hard as insanity mode in Mass Effect 2 but still a pain at times. I find myself unable to get pass groups of enemies while half awake at 3am. I loaded up SWTOR and fought off a mob before having to log off again. I really need to get back into that game since I paid for a six month subscription.
William: A lot of Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. Doing gold challenges now. It’s pretty well balanced, and definitely very fun. The higher level challenges get very tough. I’m also going through the regular game on insanity, but losing my enthusiasm for that, as I’ve played it once already. Playing some GemCraft this weeked. An “Armor Games” flash game. What can I say? I’m a man for a weakness with Tower Defense. This game is pretty fun, but it’s not quite Kingdom Rush.
Chris: Been keeping it old school, after taking a little break from all of the Street Fighter X Tekken. The last week I have played either Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike or Raiden IV both are classics that you can get cheap. Raiden IV will put your shooter skills to the test and online play for SF3 is straight beastly.
Jeff: Most of my time this week has gone towards Metroid Prime, but I’m making time to play Batman: Arkham Asylum. Other than that, I fired up Batman: Arkham City to knock out yet another month for the “Storyteller” trophy. I’m no April fool, I could have the trophy already, but there’s a certain novelty to waiting for each holiday that I just can’t pass up.
Greg: I have been playing a great deal of Warriors Orochi 3. The newest game in the Dynasty Warriors series (which I love), it’s a lot of fun. Also known as ‘The Good Game with Ryu in it that came out in March”. It’s fun. Getting over 2000 kills in ten minutes doesn’t really get old…
