Performance Gaming Gear | KontrolFreek's FPS Freek Phantom and FPS Freek Vortex Review

KontrolFreek launched two new products this quarter alongside Microsoft and PlayStation’s next-gen console debuts. The FPS Freek Phantom and the FPS Freek Vortex controller accessories are some of the hottest and top performance gaming gear items to hit the industry. These are an amazing addition to any gamers accessory collection. As one of the top performance gaming gear companies, you can count on KontrolFreek to provide gamers only the best accessories for every console controller on the market.

That’s right. You can purchase the FPS Freek Phantom and FPS Freek Vortex for your Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4. You can stick these accessories on any controller new or old from any of the major controller companies as well. Of course, they always seem to work best on the Microsoft or PlayStation controllers in my humble opinion. I spent some time after I picked up my Xbox One and played with my Phantom and Vortex controller accessories with the latest title Call of Duty: Ghosts, and really enjoyed the new performance gaming gear that KontrolFreek released.

As I have used their products before on my Xbox 360, I was not let down when. Check out more information about the two products below.

FPS Freek Phantom from KontrolFreek – Ready to Strike!

KontrolFreek created the Phantom with first person shooters in mind, specifically Call of Duty: Ghosts. The design has a Ghosts feel of to it with the skull in the middle of the accessory. At first I thought it was going to cause me issues when I gamed. It didn’t. I barely noticed the texture of the skull. The Phantom has a nice smooth feel to them.

These are great for gamers who’s play style is mid to long range. Before playing first person shooters like Ghosts I was always the type of gamer “in your base killing your dudes” before you had a chance to hit midfield. Ghosts makes you slow down and be more of a team player in my opinion. The Phantom accessory has helped me go from close range to mid/long range with ease. I am thankful for that.

KontrolFreek’s website mentions that the Phantom’s are great for games like, Call of Duty, Gears of War, Battlefield, GTA V, Halo and other first person shooter. The company also mentions that the FPS Freek Phantom accessory can help with the following:

Cost Regularly: $19.99

  • Improved accuracy while aiming
  • Range of motion increased by 40%
  • Concave pad for grip and comfort
  • Reduces hand and thumb fatigue
  • Makes target acquisition much faster

FPS Freek Vortex from Kontrol Freek – No One is Safe

One controller accessory to rule them all. That would be the FPS Freek Vortex. This accessory has TWO, I say TWO different sized additions to your controller’s joystick. One is full sized with an awesome convex design for accuracy and the other a shorter comfortable gripped addition, best for the close quarter gamer. The Vortex is the perfect accessory for every gamer and sticky situation. The functions of the two accessories are as different as night and day but are both comfortable and soft to the touch. The bright orange color helps remember that you are playing your game with an awesome accessory.

The Vortex is a great accessory for those who wish to enhance their first person shooting abilities in every situation that can arise. I personally like the Vortex best, not just for the color, but for the ability to have control over mid/long range weapons as well as my favorite close quarter weapons. You want to be as precise and as accurate as possible, right? The Vortex is for you!

KontrolFreek’s website has this detailed information about the FPS Freek Vortex accessory for your controller. They are also great for playing games like Call of Duty, Halo, Bioshock Infinite, Gears of War, and Grand Theft Auto.
