Payday: The Heist Delayed, But On Sale For 10% Off On Steam

Currently, I’m in the middle of my RAGE install, which is done through Steam. However, I noticed something peculiar in their “Specials” section:

Payday: The Heist, our most anticipated game of the month, is on sale for 10% off. Which is good news.

Then I discovered, per Cinema Blend, that the game was delayed for those who didn’t pre-order the game. If you did, however, pre-order it, you’ll have access. This, of course, would be the bad news. There’s always a catch, isn’t there?

Here’s the full quote from Sony:

This delay is a move to ensure players and fans of our promise and vision to produce high-caliber games that deliver the best quality game experience. Players who pre-ordered PAYDAY: The Heist will receive the game at launch, and those who purchased the four other PSN titles as part of the PlayStation Network PLAY program will also be awarded PAYDAY: The Heistwhen it launches later this month, according to the terms of that program.

Umm…okay? Something seems a bit fishy here…We’ll get back to you when we find out more. In the mean time, Steam is asking me for Disc 2 of RAGE.
