Overwatch’s Ana, New Patch Has Gone Live on PC

Overwatch

For those who didn’t sign up to the Overwatch PTR last week, today you’ll get the full patch implemented and all the upgraded game-play if you play on PC.

For the last two weeks Blizzard has been teasing their new support character Ana, after being released in a trial last week for players to try out. Ana was received with excited reviews as she really added a new approach to healing and another dimension to game-play.

This news may not be as exciting for those who don’t play support characters, but along with the Ana release there is also a host of changes to game-play, game bugs, hero nerfs and buffs. The full list of patch details can be seen here on Battle.Net and there are a ton of changes to have players excited. Most notably D.Va and Zenyatta have received major upgrades to their kits.

D.Va’s ultimate ability charges faster and no longer damages her in the process, as well as having an exploding wait time of 3 seconds instead of 4. Zenyatta has 50 extra shields and his ult has gained the ability to make him incredibly mobile while it is active. With the incoming updates these two heroes who were mediocre or almost unusable – in Zenyatta’s case – have made them viable threats and an asset to any team.

There’s no word yet on the patch release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but speculation from the boards at Battle.net and Reddit have said that the patch could be released as early as the end of this week or the beginning of next.

It’s exciting to see the Overwatch team so involved in the process of making a balanced and enjoyable game, it’s going to be great to see where Blizzard takes their characters and what kind of heroes we can expect to see in the future.
