Overwatch Holiday Event Launches Next Week

Overwatch

After the teasing comes the announcement. Overwatch is getting a brand new event for the upcoming holiday season, starting on December 13th.

Not only has Overwatch recently won the Game of the Year prize at The Game Awards, they have also been teasing here and there some snippets of holiday fun. We are talking about the release of their next big event, which, you can imagine, has something to do with the upcoming Christmas celebrations. The best of it all? We don’t have to wait much longer as it’s coming next week on December 13th!

Overwatch
Yay, we are invited to this one!

Overwatch Gets a Surprise Shot

The confirmation has come through the game’s official Twitter account and everyone is already losing it – what else, right? Since its release in May, Overwatch has delivered two major events revolving around the topics of the Olympics and then Halloween. Naturally, this third event doesn’t come as a surprise, but acts as a nice action to end a successful year.

If we are to follow the trajectory of past editions, there will obviously be some (festive) skins for our heroes and unique, special items to obtain. Blizzard is keeping the surprise element there though and will surely announce concrete details as the time passes. We can also expect new locations and a few surprises, echoing those past LucioBall and Junkenstein’s Revenge brawls, which injected a good amount of fun to our Overwatch weekly matches.

What about you, fanatics? What would you like to see in this event?
