Outlast 2 Announced for Fall of 2016

The official sequel for the survival horror phenomenon, Outlast 2, was announced by developer Red Barrels and will be available by fall of 2016.

On their official website, the team released a teaser trailer for all to enjoy. The video lasts for only a minute but effectively gives off a spine chilling effect to those who lay eyes on it.

The teaser trailer for Outlast 2 starts out with an upside down crucifix that is on fire. As the camera pans out to show viewers the whole picture, a man’s voice speaks of religious views in the background. The viewer finally sees the whole view of the crucifix on fire as the man in the background shouts that God’s Judgment has come and the cross slowly extinguishes.

If you have played Outlast then you will know that there are many religious aspects of the game. As well as what happens to the mind during traumatic experiences and what will make a man go bonkers crazy. So Outlast 2 is sure to follow the same road and delve the player into messed up and terrifying situations so as to make you question your own sanity.

The teaser trailer gives players a lot to think about in terms of what Outlast 2 shall be about.  Will the sequel take place in an insane asylum filled with religious enthusiasts? Will the protagonist be there to avenge Miles Upshur? We shall not know until the anticipated sequel is out next fall.

What are your thoughts on the teaser trailer for Outlast 2? Are you a fan of the first Outlast? And if so, will you be playing the sequel? I would love to know what you think so let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
