Obsidian would like to pitch to Disney a new Star Wars RPG game.
Seeing a new Star Wars the Old Republic 3 would make many happy, myself included, however the game that Obsidian would like to pitch will be a RPG set between Episode III and Episode IV.
The CEO of Obsidian, Feargus Urquhart, believes that creating a game based off of the Old Republic could fail and would rather dive into the stories of Obi-Wan and the annihilation of all force sensitive users.
“We pitched a between-Episode III and Episode IV game [to LucasArts]. Because we think that timeframe is super interesting. It’s the fall of the Republic, the extermination of the Jedi, it’s Obi-Wan going off and making sure Luke is OK. You have the Sith, but you have the extermination of all Force users except for very, very few. So it was an interesting time to set a game, and you know, Chris Avellone came up with a really cool story.” – Feargus Urquhart
This is all talk right now. We still have Star Wars 1313 to look forward to and the on-going MMO, Star Wars The Old Republic, which has been regarded as KotoR 3 and beyond, as seen here.
