NVIDIA today opened registration for GeForce LAN 6, which met with an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response from PC gamers. Just two hours after opening registration, seats for the highly anticipated bring-your-own computer (BYOC) gaming area sold out, as gamers reserved their spots to play in the highly anticipated 64-person LAN featuring Battlefield 3. A limited number of general admission tickets are still available for the event, which will be held Oct. 14-16, 2011, on the Aircraft Carrier USS Hornet, in Alameda, Calif., so gamers are encouraged to register quickly. This will be the hottest gaming event this Fall, GeForceLAN 6 will feature 48 hours of non-stop PC gaming, fun contests, amazing prizes, and special stage presentations. In addition, gamers will be able to get their hands on three Battlefield 3 multiplayer maps that will be available for public play for the first time.
