Nokia has announced today that their first windows phone, the Lumia 800 will be launching in the UK on November 16th, which coincidentally is the day before Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy Nexus in the UK. This release date will also coincide with the release of another Windows Phone 7 device in the UK the HTC Titan. This choice of a release date is setting Nokia to go up hand to hand with two really good phones, and we will get to see if Nokia’s trust in Microsoft’s mobile operating system is worth it.
Nokia did confirm the selling point for the Lumia 800 would be set at €420, which roughly converts to £359, but nothing has been said on what the price of the phone may be in British Pounds. Three a UK cellphone carrier has already priced the phone at £399 on a pay-as-you-go basis, but Orange and Vodafone have yet to confirm their prices.
