Listen to All of 65daysofstatic’s No Man’s Sky Soundtrack

The release of No Man’s Sky is less than a week away! By now you probably can barely contain your excitement, but to help hold you over until August 9th, Hello Games and 65daysofstatic have released the game’s entire soundtrack to Youtube.

No Man’s Sky is a big game to make companion music for, but the electronic/experimental group 65daysofstatic were up to the task. Creating a soundscape that would compliment traversing the universe is no small feat. The ten songs that were uploaded to YouTube on the 4th certainly instill a sense of wonder and sometimes danger in the listener. It will no doubt be a great addition to the emotional power of the game.

The music is an odd and fitting out of this world mix; it certainly falls into the vein of video game music, but also carries a unique rhythm that doesn’t quite sound like anything else. The tracks flow well into each other and each holds merit to create a different atmosphere depending on what you’re experiencing in-game. It’s going to be exciting to see just how 65daysofstatic’s soundscapes are utilized and how much weight it will have on a player’s sense of wonder when exploring the universe.
