No 3D For LBP 2 But Final Beta Invites Coming Soon

A bit of good and bad news for gamers from Sony and Media Molecule, so let’s start off with the bad (assumable for a minority of course).

While 3D has becoming more prevalent in gaming, Sony has decided not to implement in LittleBigPlanet 2. SCEA’s Mark Valledor replied to a comment on the US Blog saying “Sorry, no 3D this time around”.

It was reported that Sony had said at E3, that the game would get the extra tech treatment.
Again, not a big deal for all but those who do have 3D TV’s, Sackboy for now will only be in 2D.

Now for some good news! Media Molecule has announced that they will soon begin sending out invites for the final beta testing of LittleBigPlanet 2.

The online beta has also been updated so as to test the new voice recording features. There’s a handy-dandy tutorial of that posted below for you.

Also on their “to do list” is also a reminder of the PSN demo which will hit the store on December 22.

A little early stocking stuffer gift so to speak for gamers, also check out one the latest videos below. And check out the US PS Blog for the final box, giant Sackboy and more photos.

LBP2 will release on January 18 in North America.
