Nintendo Switch is Getting a Hands-On Event in New York

Switch

Nintendo of America has just communicated that they are holding a Nintendo Switch private event in New York city on January 13. For some lucky ones, this will be the first time to try out the new console.

A month and a week have passed since Nintendo announced the arrival (and the form) of their next console, the Switch. Those three minutes of showcasing got us discussing different aspects of this hardware and whether this would be the “switch” Nintendo needs (sorry, I really had to put that one out). Since then, Nintendo has kept the silence. Getting ready, no doubt, for another element of surprise.

Well, that happened yesterday with the announcement of a Switch event in New York on January 13. Although we still do not know the concrete facts around it, you can count on more information regarding hardware and possibly release date. Plus some lucky members of the media world will get their hands on it for the first time.

All We Know About Nintendo Switch Event

Nintendo has announced that the event will last nothing less than 5 full hours, following a streamed Tokyo presentation on the previous evening. That Tokyo show is welcoming investors and media only as well and will reveal the Switch price and its release date. Up until know we only had the March 2017 time window so we are kind of hoping the company keeps their promise regarding that. It would be interesting to know the line-up of games as well, since we could only get some glimpses of those on the trailer.

One can only wonder what Nintendo has in stock for us. But five hours are plenty in order to cover all the major points we are eager to know, right? Right?
