Ninja Gaiden 3 Slices Up a Launch Trailer

A week before Ninja Gaiden 3’s March 20th release date (23rd in Europe) a launch trailer comes out of nowhere (and assassinates you). While the trailer doesn’t show too much gameplay it does make me more interested in this new entry in the series.

The trailer is focused on Ryu Hayabusa and the cursed received from his own sword and actions. The game promises to challenge Ryu with hordes of enemies as well as the ‘emotional weight of cutting through men.’

I’m not sure how that will work in the gameplay but it nice to see that Ninja Gaiden 3 isn’t all about murder.

TEAM NINJA UNMASKS NINJA GAIDEN 3 LAUNCH TRAILER

In preparation for the upcoming launch of Ninja Gaiden 3 on the PlayStation® and Xbox 360®, Team NINJA unveils an action packed launch trailer to whet the appetites of fans around the world.  Ninja Gaiden 3 is the newest installment in the famed action Ninja Gaiden series that features the masked ninja, Ryu Hayabusa.

Ryu Hayabusa has faced many things in the past but in Ninja Gaiden 3, he will ultimately have to face himself to survive. Cursed to suffer the pain inflicted by his own Dragon Sword, players are exposed to the true ramifications of Hayabusa’s murderous past – to commit to the life of a ninja assassin, forced to take the lives of human beings and never surrender. It’s not an easy thing to live in the darkness.

Players rejoin Hayabusa in the shadowed world, and will be challenged to take on not only a flurry of enemies but also the emotional weight of cutting through men. New surprises and twists await players as new enemies stand in Hayabusa’s way amassed by his mysterious masked nemesis, The Regent of the Mask. Hayabusa will make great leaps and bounds to take them down and prevent the end of the world.

Ninja Gaiden 3 developed by Team NINJA and published by Tecmo Koei, is ESRB rated “M” (Mature) and is available for an MSRP of $59.99 for the regular edition and $99.99 for the Collector’s Edition.
