Nintendo has released a new Star Fox Zero trailer and it looks fantastic.
Star Fox Zero largely follows the classic gameplay of Star Fox 64 where players control Fox McCloud as he pilots his Arwing craft. The game is controlled using the Wii U gamepad with the left control stick is used to maneuver the craft while gyroscopic controls can be used to aim weapons. A cockpit view is also displayed on the gamepad to assist with aiming. Although it was originally said that motion controls were optional, Nintendo has recently said there will be options for that control type, but not a way to entirely disable them. Gyro controls will have a dedicated recalibration button to bring your cursor back to the middle.
The game was unveiled back in June 10, 2014 and will come bundled with a copy of a tower defense game called Star Fox Guard. It will be released on April 22, 2016 worldwide.
