New Solus Project Trailer Shows Danger and Loneliness

Solus Project trailer

The Solus Project trailer just released gives a glimpse at the opening world that this lost explorer will have to survive.

This Xbox One console exclusive title through Microsoft’s ID@Xbox program looks to lay your feet upon an alien, hostile environment. The clip opens with your character as the only apparent survivor of a crash so recent that the shuttle debris can still be seen flaming through the sky box above as you set outside. Your first objective becomes finding some evidence of you crewmates’ location, which doesn’t turn out so well.

Gross? Creepy? Both.

Items and the landscape are shown to be distinct in this Solus Project trailer with clear indicators bringing your character information regarding the type of item at your feet. This world has its own culture and personality as represented by various tribal statues and gates, all of which your handheld scanner seems glad to point you towards in addition to objectives. Weather and other landscape changing events also seem to be woven into gameplay.

GRIP Games and Teotl Studios, working jointly on this title, describe these weather events as dynamic, but the one shown in the trailer seems to be a scripted example. These companies describe this Solus Project trailer as a window into the puzzle and survival elements the main character will have to endure in order to signal and save the human race from an unknown enemy. This partnership is being billed as a way to bring two projects into fruition at once within the same product.
